The challenge
Paper prescriptions in Iraq are easy to lose, hard to read and give the pharmacy no reliable way to check them. Electronic Wasfa needed doctors to write prescriptions from a proper drug list, and patients to keep them on their phone and find a pharmacy that is open.
What we built
We designed and built two iOS and Android apps that share one system. The doctor app has a drug catalogue by category and manufacturer, prescription writing and a filtered record. The patient app lists prescriptions by date, shows each one with its medicines, doses and a QR code for the pharmacy, and maps nearby and on-duty pharmacies.
