Project story
The challenge
Arabic book titles are spelled in many ways, with and without diacritics, hamza variants and the definite article, so basic search returned poor results. The catalogue also spans editions, publishers and age groups that parents and teachers need to filter quickly.
What we built
We built the store on Vega Ecommerce with Arabic text normalisation for search, so variants of the same word match. Books carry structured data for author, publisher, edition and age group, and the apps support curated reading lists for schools and families.
