About us
Named after a star you can steer by
Vega SDS is a software company based in Türkiye and the UAE. We design, build and run the systems businesses depend on — and we stay to keep them running.
Why “Vega”?
Vega is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra and one of the brightest stars in the night sky.
Around fourteen thousand years ago, Vega served as Earth's North Star, guiding travellers across the world. And through the slow precession of Earth's axis, it will return to its place as the North Star in approximately twelve thousand years.
The name has Arabic origins, derived from Al-Nasr Al-Wāqiʿ (النسر الواقع), an ancient Arabic name meaning “the alighting eagle.”
This is the idea behind our identity: a guiding point above the V — a symbol of clarity, direction, and reliability. Just as travellers once looked to Vega to find their way, we believe every business deserves a clear direction to navigate its journey and shape its future.
